Tampa SEO Discusses the Main SEO Ranking Factors

Tampa SEO wanted to offer its research-backed opinion as to the top ranking factors as they pertain to search engine optimization (SEO). These opinions are shared by many SEO professionals around the world and are based on data from both the websites that we provide SEO services for as well as websites that other SEOs provide services for. That said, these are some of the areas where we focus most of our attention but it does not mean that there are other valuable areas that may be more specific to focus on as dependent on a case-by-case basis.

Link Building- Page Level & Domain Level

Link building is the process of getting other websites to provide links to your website in an effort to say to the search engines “Hey! I value the content that is shared on this site.” Linkbuilding used to be strictly a numbers game but has evolved into a quality game. Meaning that although the number of links you have from outside websites plays a factor the authority of those sites and their relevancy to your site are also considered by the search engines. As SEOs we try to get links that are both page level as well as domain level. For example, if we own a website about baseball cards we want a link from a website about athletes that links to both our homepage (domain level) and the specific page (page-level) within our website about a specific player.

Content- Authority & Production

Content on a website has always been the reason that people are visiting. This could be to learn, to research, to compare, to avoid, or any other consumer-driven cause you can think of. Tampa SEO recommends that our clients produce content that is authoritative and trustworthy. This means publishing content that is better and more informative than anything that currently exists on the web to earn the most recognition. We also recommend doing this constantly to encourage new visitors and frequent indexing by the search engines.

Keyword Usage

No matter how we look at it, search will always consist of a searcher typing words into a box in an attempt to find information they need. Your use of keywords will help you to connect with these people. The content that you produce will be based off of these keywords and should contain variations as different people use language differently to find things. The foremost approach is to use the most highly searched terms that are relevant to your products or services.

Social media has had a huge impact on SEO and the sharing of information. Search engines are looking at social media signals to influence their rankings and companies are connecting with people like never before with social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
